Step for Bulgaria Foundation is a young organization, founded with the aim at to develop projects initiated by and for young Bulgarians. The foundation was established after the successful launch of a summer educational programme STEP Bulgaria 2007, initiated by the Club of Bulgarian students at Harvard University. The initiative which started overseas aimed at involving foreign and Bulgarian students in assiting Bulgarian youth without parental care. In June-August 2007 the participants included 4 American and 15 Bulgarian volunteers and over 30 youths from orphanages across the country. The positive feedback we received by all program participants and partnering institutions motivated us to continue our work for the development of Bulgarian youth by establishing Step for Bulgaria Foundation.
